New Index of Israeli Tech Companies Launched in New York

TransNations Investments introduced the Amidex Israel Technology Index. TNI is also home to the Amidex35 Index, on which the Amidex35 (AMDEX: news, chart, profile) mutual fund is based. Portfolio manager Boaz Rahav confirmed to CBS.MarketWatch.com that a new fund based on the tech index is in the pipeline and should be open to investors by year-end. There are more than 140 Israeli companies trading on Wall Street. Most are technology companies, and most trade on the Nasdaq, TNI noted. The new index will track the "next generation" of Israeli companies, by including smaller capitalization companies, and excluding the largest capitalization companies -- which can be found on the Amidex35.
